Modern school website
A mobile-first school website with admissions up front, a real notice board and a gallery that opens in a blink.
Client: Greenfield International School (a fictional school). This is a design exercise, not a real client project.
The brief
We imagined a CBSE school in East Bangalore with 1,200 students and a website that had not changed in years. Parents struggled to find fees and admission dates, circulars lived in scattered PDFs, and the site took ages to open on a phone. This is how we would rebuild it.
What was going wrong
- Admission details buried three clicks deep
- Circulars posted as scanned PDFs that are unreadable on a phone
- A homepage slider that takes 8 seconds to load on 4G
- Only one person on the staff knows how to update anything
- The mandatory disclosure page is nearly impossible to find
What we designed
Admissions first
A clear “Admissions 2027–28” button on every page, leading to fees, process, dates and an enquiry form.
A real notice board
Circulars published as readable pages with dates and categories, with the PDF attached when one is needed.
Built for parents’ phones
Big tap targets, a call button that stays in reach and pages built to load in about a second.
Easy for staff
Teachers post notices, events and photos from a simple editor, no developer needed.
Compliance made easy
Mandatory public disclosure, fee structure and policies in one clearly labeled section.
Site structure
- Home
- Admissions
- Academics
- Faculty
- Notices and events
- Parents’ corner
- Gallery
- Mandatory disclosure
- Contact and map
